I had no idea what a /friends page was, but when I heard about it, I really wanted one. Here's my list below.
- Tara: Tara is my Education Design Lab colleague, thinking-out-loud partner, and rubric nerd of choice. She likes the same music, our kids are art pen pals, and she can parallel park anywhere.
- Rebecka: Rebecka and I crochet together, trade books, and work side by side at Education Design Lab, where she can conjure a chatbot for anything and always pulls me back toward co-design.
- Nishita: Nishita is my Education Design Lab colleague and one of my favorite people on earth. She knows everything about plants and tea, is unbeatable at thrifting, and always shares her lunch with me.
- Stephanie: Stephanie and I mom together, think together, and take similarly winding paths through education. She has the biggest heart of anyone I know and wrote three of my favorite education books of all time.
- Allison: Allison inspired and mentored me early on, and working alongside her now is one of my professional joys. She introduced me to durable skills, which have shaped everything since.
- Kip: Kip says yes to everything, brings out the best in every kid he meets, and is a pied piper to my sons, my husband, his dog Turtle, and roughly everyone else. He also once dressed as a lunch lady on Guy's Grocery Games.
- Dave: Dave and I have worked together for years. He's a big-idea guy and a great connector who always takes my thinking seriously, knows the best Italian restaurant in any town, and will drive to Mississippi for a Powerball ticket or just to cross a state off our list.
Thanks to Nick and his team for pushing me to make one. Read more on slashfriends.org for further information on this movement.
